PORT BLAIR
Port Blair, the capital city of the Andaman Islands, is your gateway to the beauty and serenity of the islands. The city is well connected to the rest of the world by air and sea. CELLULAR JAIL
Cellular jail is the most Historical Monument built in India by British Raj. The Jail construction was started in the year 1896 and was completed by 1906. The bricks utilized for its construction were brought from Burma. When constructed it had Seven Rows which were connected by a Tower in the center. All Seven wings had three floors each and housed around 696 cells (rooms). Post construction the Jail was used to keep Freedom fighters who were termed Life exile in the Indian Mainland. In Mar 1942, the Japanese army took control of the Andaman islands and the first flag of free India was hoisted by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose very near Cellular Jail in the Gymkhana Ground and INA General AD Lognathan was made the first Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Island. Again in 1945, the Island was recaptured by Britishers, and post-independence, 02 wings were destroyed and a 500 Bedded Hospital GB Pant Hospital was constructed on the said land for the assistance of the local people of Andaman and Nicobar islands. Presently the Cellular jail houses 5 wings, a Fasi Ghar, and a Museum for Tourists. A vibrant and must-see attraction of Cellular Jail is its Light and Sound Show. The show operates on a daily basis, 365 days a year in the evening.

CORBYN'S COVE BEACH
One of the busiest beaches in the Andaman Islands, this beach is situated in the middle of lush green palms. It is located approximately eight kilometers from Port Blair. Having one of the longest constructed shorelines in Port Blair, Corbyn's cove beach extends up to 1.5 kilometers in length and has a fairly wide open area on either side. Jet Skis and other water sports make it a popular tourist spot.
ROSS ISLAND (NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE DWEEP)
In December 2018, Ross Island—originally named for maritime surveyor Daniel Ross—became Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island. This historic island, which is 3 km east of Port Blair, is well-known for its British architecture and archaeological relics. For 85 years, the British utilised it as their administrative centre. The British constructed numerous important government buildings in this region during this time. Along with a large number of coconut and palm trees, the area is also home to several wildlife, such as deer, peacocks, and rabbits.
NORTH BAY ISLAND
It's the exact island that's pictured on a 20-rupee bill. In North Bay Beach, you may participate in water sports including snorkelling, scuba diving, parasailing, glass boat rides, and sea walking to learn more about the underwater flora and wildlife.
MT MANIPUR ( MT HARRIET)
In honour of the freedom fighters from Manipur who were instrumental in opposing the British in the Northeast during the 1857 and 1891 revolutions, Mount Harriet has been renamed Mount Manipur. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, it is the third-highest island peak. During the Anglo-Manipuri War, Maharaja Kulchandra Singh of Manipur and 22 other freedom warriors were detained here (1891).
WANDOOR BEACH
One of the must-see sights in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago is Wandoor Beach, which is close to Port Blair. It is well known for its crystal-clear seas, breathtaking scenery, and serene settings and is situated at the entrance to the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. The desiccated trees and fishing boats near the shoreline contrast brilliantly with the beach's crystal-clear turquoise seas. The beach is the best place to swim and relax in the sun. The trees that were uprooted after the tsunami of 2006 contribute to the beach's beauty.
CHIDIYATAPU
The Andaman's Bird Island is another name for Chidiyatapu. It is a thriving mangrove forest that is home to many different bird species. The southernmost point of South Andaman Island is where this eco-park is situated. This tranquil treasure is located 28 kilometres from Port Blair. In addition to being a haven for birdwatchers, Chidiya Tapu is a popular destination for outdoor pursuits including trekking. One of Chidiya Tapu's primary draws for tourists is Sunset Point. It provides a stunning view of the sun setting over the Bay of Bengal.
MAHATMA GANDHI MARINE NATIONAL PARK
The Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is located in Wandoor, about 29 kilometers from Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. The 15 uninhabited islands that make up this park have some of the nation's most beautiful coral reefs and marine life. Secluded beaches serve as the finishing touch to the 1983-established Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, which is surrounded by a lush and verdant mangrove cover. The park, which covers an area of 281 square kilometers, includes numerous lagoons, coral reefs, rainforests, and mangrove creek. Some of the endangered fish species that can be seen in this area include angelfish, lion or scorpion fish, grouper fish, butterflyfish, and surgeon fish. In addition to fish, there are numerous reptiles, birds, and mammals in this area. Travelers can explore massive coral reefs by boat, and snorkel to see the exquisite marine life.
FLAG POINT
Flag Point is another priceless asset in Port Blair (Tiranga Point). The Flag Point, which has enormous historical significance, is where, on December 30, 1943, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose raised the Indian flag for the first time on Indian soil. On December 30, 2018, the honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi raised the Indian flag at Flag Point to mark the 75th anniversary of the Azad Hind Government and the raising of the nation's first flag on its territory.
